Market coverage
The commodity complexes we assess most often — and how we draw the edges of a brief.
Coverage is organised by physical complex, not by software module. If your commodity sits adjacent to one of these groups, ask — we will say quickly whether we can lead the work or should decline.
Base & precious metals
Copper, aluminium, zinc, nickel, tin, and related scrap or premium discussions. London Metal Exchange references are common; regional premiums are treated as first-class inputs.
Energy & refined products
Crude markers, gasoil, gasoline components, and selected natural gas contexts for industrial buyers. We focus on price path and crack or spread structure relevant to cover decisions.
Grains & oilseeds
Wheat, maize, barley, and major oilseeds with attention to UK and European harvest calendars, basis, and import parity.
Softs
Coffee, cocoa, sugar, and cotton where certified stocks, origin weather, and grind or mill demand shape the near-term range.
How we decide fit
A good engagement has a named contract or physical reference, a decision date, and a client who can spare time for a scope call. We decline work that requires us to recommend specific exchange orders for retail investors, or briefs so broad that “direction” becomes meaningless.
